Bearded Dragon Tattoo.

Did my first project for the year 2012. And yes, it has to do with dragon. Was required to design a tattoo sticker base on Bearded Dragon that should appeal to kids from 3 – 12 years and of course, adults who are young at heart.  I proposed 2 designs for them to choose and below is the one they selected.

…and the proposed but not selected one…

2012! Enter The Dragon!

This is my first post of the year and Chinese New Year is just few hours away.  This year, we are entering the year of the Dragon and it really excite me as I have not been painting/drawing any dragon for ages. Especially traditional chinese dragon. I must admit, once I started drawing dragon again, I got addicted.  I enjoyed doing this CNY greeting illustration so much that I did not 1, but 3 of them.  2 personal and 1 for my company Cashmax Jewelry.

For the first time, I included my wife and myself in the painting. So I finally have my own ‘family’ painting.:)

For the second painting, I try using colorful strokes and lines to create motions and movements to the painting. This way, I hope to make it more interesting out of something simple.

The last one, which I did for my company, I wanted to create something that looks like a paper-cut and at the same time with a vintage feel:)

It’s Party Time!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2012 ahead. This year Shermayne and Xavier are also inviting their friends to our house for a mini X’mas party. So as usual, I will have to do the invitation card for them. Before I even started doing this invitation, Shermayne has already done hers and she showed it to me and said she wants her ‘invitation card’ to ‘appear’ in my illustration, just like last year. I’m so happy to know that she actually enjoy doing the artwork with me:)

Season's Greetings

Below is a close-up on Shermayne’s ‘invitation card’.

Plant and Flower illustrations Part 1.

Did some plant and flower illustrations for Singapore Zoo few months back. Plant and flowers are usually not my drawing or painting subject as I’m more of a comic/cartoon guy, and I did not expect this project can be so challenging. Especially when it is for educational purposes and need to be done as close and as details to the actual species of plant. However, after I started drawing the first few, I began to enjoy it.:)

Signage for Penguin Wonderland.

Beside doing the individual penguin illustration for the Penguin Wonderland Exhibit, I was also given the opportunity to work on some illustrations for the signage.

Below is how those illustrations look with the text layout. I not sure how the actual signage will look like as I’m not the one doing the layout, just have to make sure there is enough space for the designer to lay the text.
