This will be the last set of photos I have for this project. I realized that there are a good range of pizzas variety in San Francisco Bay Cafe. They sure look nice and smell good. In fact the last 2 photos were actually taken when I had my dinner there with a group of friends someday after the shooting session. The pizza definitely tasted good, unfortunately, I can’t remember the name for that pizza. As you can see, the 2 photos are much warmer in color as they were taken with only the external flash from my camera.
The set up for this photo shoot was basically very simple as we do not have any fanciful equipments. Items that we used are : a piece of white mahjong paper, two table lamps and external flash with difusser mounted on our cameras. The most challenging part in this photo shoot was shooting the drinks and sundaes. The sundaes and the ice in the drinks melt off so fast that we did not have any time to react or plan our shots, hence most of the photos for the drinks and sundaes were not decent.
Few months ago, I had the opportunity to do food photography for my friend’s newly set up cafe, San Francisco Bay. It was my first “serious” attempt in shooting food stuffs. I was pretty excited about it and did some homework by browsing lots of sample pictures online before the shooting day. Luckily my friend’s requirement was quite simple as she only wants the background to be white.
I had a friend of mine, Patrick Ng, to help me out on the actual day of shooting. He helped me in shooting the food as a whole using a wider lens, while I cover pictures that are “tighter” using my 50mm prime lens. Over all, it was a smooth and fun experience for us.
I got permission from my friend and decided to post some of the photos that I took.
To be continued….
Drove in to Sentosa on 27 June 2009. It was the first time we brought Shermayne and Xavier there. While on the way there, I told Shermayne there is a very huge ‘Merlion’ in Sentosa and she was pretty excited about it. When we actually drove pass the Merlion, she was shocked to see such a ‘huge’ merlion…haha.
We arrived at late afternoon and spend most of our time at the beach. The kids were really having so much fun, especially Shermayne, as she became very chatty with a big wide smile on her face.:) Xavier, however was sleeping while the rest of the kids were having fun:(
We wanted to watch the ‘Songs of the Sea’, unfortunately, the tickets for 7.30pm were all sold out! So we decided to bring them up close to the Merlion. Although the sky was getting dark, taking a few pictures with the Merlion was a MUST! That is Shermayne’s favorite:)
