Food Photography Part 1

Few months ago, I had the opportunity to do food photography for my friend’s newly set up cafe, San Francisco Bay. It was my first “serious” attempt in shooting food stuffs. I was pretty excited about it and did some homework by browsing lots of sample pictures online before the shooting day. Luckily my friend’s requirement was quite simple as she only wants the background to be white.

I had a friend of mine, Patrick Ng, to help me out on the actual day of shooting. He helped me in shooting the food as a whole using a wider lens, while I cover pictures that are “tighter” using my 50mm prime lens. Over all, it was a smooth and fun experience for us.

I got permission from my friend and decided to post some of the photos that I took.

An Hour of free time…

Occasionally, after sending Shermayne to her enrichment class on Saturday, I have an hour of “free time”. This is the only time when I actually walk around with my camera and taking pictures. I not really into land/city-scapes photography, therefore there are usually not much good photos taken…haha. However, I do enjoy the moment of “freedom”.:)
