This will be the last set of photos I have for this project. I realized that there are a good range of pizzas variety in San Francisco Bay Cafe. They sure look nice and smell good. In fact the last 2 photos were actually taken when I had my dinner there with a group of friends someday after the shooting session. The pizza definitely tasted good, unfortunately, I can’t remember the name for that pizza. As you can see, the 2 photos are much warmer in color as they were taken with only the external flash from my camera.
The set up for this photo shoot was basically very simple as we do not have any fanciful equipments. Items that we used are : a piece of white mahjong paper, two table lamps and external flash with difusser mounted on our cameras. The most challenging part in this photo shoot was shooting the drinks and sundaes. The sundaes and the ice in the drinks melt off so fast that we did not have any time to react or plan our shots, hence most of the photos for the drinks and sundaes were not decent.
Always wanted to try taking pictures of water droplets, so decided to try it out after one of the raining day. Nothing fanciful, just another simple attempt using Raynox 250. I changed the tone in Photoshop and pushed up the contrast. I believe shooting morning dew will be much more exciting and beautiful. However, there is one major problem…. which mean I will have to wake up very early in the morning… which will be extremely tough for me. Ha ha…
I always enjoy taking photos for kids, especially my kids Shermayne and Xavier:P I take photos of them very often, as this my way of documenting their growth. Most of their photos are ‘snapshot’ as I don’t usually ask them to pose. I would prefer to picture them in their most natural way possible. Out of many many shots, there are a few which I find it quite nice…IMHO. Here are two to share.
I did another B/k version for this…
The Shermayne’s shot was actually an accidental ‘high key’ shot. I was shooting in M mode indoor before I get Shermayne to move near the window where the light was much stronger, and I forgot to check my setting on my camera. Then it turned out overexposed, however I kinda like it.:)
Bought the Raynox 150 and 250 online and was excited to try it out. Before trying, I saw lot of very nice macros shots taken using Raynox in some photography forum, and thought it would be easy to provide equally nice or even better pictures:P However, I soon realise it wasn’t as easy as what I have expected. It was tough, especially in the focusing part. Lot of practices needed to achieve good result. Anyway, here are my 2 humble attempt:)
Always wanted to take pictures of the spiral stairs at Bugis Village. Finally brought my camera to work sometime ago and took a few shots of it. The sky wasn’t fascinating, so I ‘photoshopped’ quite a bit… hee.
